Well the inevitable has happened Don Lapre's Worlds Greatest Vitamin Company has gone under. Let's see why. It cost around $35 to join...at first. All you need to do is sell 20 bottles of vitamins for $39.95 and you get paid $1,000. Anyone see a problem with the math?

Ok so I said $35 at first. Next they "offer" you great packages to automatically send traffic to your website. Starting at around $600 and up. What you may not know is the company that handled the traffic is or was owned by Don Lapre as well. Then there was the granddaddy of the packages. That was around $2,500.By the time you were done you spend around $3,000. Oh and there was the infomercial leads. Somewhere around $900 for the program AND you had to pay for air time on the infomercial too.

The company was able to pay for several years by charging all of these upfront costs. Remember the business model drives the behavior in the field. I was talking to a gentlemen who managed to get up to 19 bottles sold but couldn't seem to get number 20 then the company went under he only spent around $1,500, a hard lesson learned.

I think many people joined this company because it didn't sound too hard, only 20 sales? I'm sure there's people out there that made a good buck. Now all that work they did is lost. No long term walk away residual income. They all have to start over again from scratch. All good things take time and work. Make sure you're in a 5 pillars company.

• Timing in the company and in the industry. 99.5% of new companies fail within the first 2-5 years.
• Remarkable product. High quality-value priced products that people will order month after month and year after year.
• A compensation plan that pays the average part-time person. They will be the bulk of your organization.
• Upline leadership with integrity. Support and training in a team environment. No one can do it alone.
