It's the first thing I think of. It's a popular saying. You're at a great party or awesome vacation and before you know it, it's over. Of course the passage of time is subjective, we all see things differently. Have you ever looked back and thought "crap, has it been that long?".</p>
<p>It's that time of the year April 15th is fast approaching. I don't know about you but I'm not done yet. Almost but not quite. Here in Pennsylvania it's almost like winter again-yuck but I know summer will be here before I know it and then it'll be winter again. So what's started me on this rant? Today's my birthday. Another year gone by. Things like birthdays, graduations and chance meetings with long lost friends have a habit of making you think about where you've been, where you are and where you're going.</p>
<p>You can't do anything about where you've been or where you are right now but where you're going is another story. You can wonder where you're going to be in another year or you can do something to help guide you to where you want to be. The choice is solely up to you. No one else can get you there or <em>prevent</em> you from getting there. Well that's it for today. Time to be with your family, visit friends and well, EAT! While you're eating your turkey or whatever it is you enjoy for Thanksgiving don't forget to be thankful. We all know the stress that can come with the holiday's but take a minute and remember everything you're grateful for.</p>
<p>It's all too often easy to forget the wonderful things we have in our&nbsp;lives when our daily lives are filled with challenges. What are you grateful for? What am I grateful for? I'm grateful for my family, friends and loved ones.&nbsp;With so many people struggling in the present economy, I'm grateful to have a roof over my head, food on my table and clothes on my back.</p>
<p>Don't wait for a holiday to reflect on your life. Take a moment everyday and think about what you have. If you're not where you want to be you have the ability to change that. I'm not saying it's always easy, it takes work and commitment. You're mindset...the way you think and see the world and yourself will determine where you end up.</p>
<p>I hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving. Sometimes we're even happy there. More often than not I hear people talk about how unhappy they are or how they wish things were different. Oh well, that's life, I can't change things, what are you going to do. I'm quite intimate with this kind of thinking-been there done that. Deciding to build a network marketing business is a tremendous decision to begin with, then there's what comes next.</p><p>We've all felt the excitement of something new, telling everyone about it, feeling like you're on the verge of something great. And then...crash. We lose the excitement, we realize it's not going to be as easy as we thought or have been told. We'll have small successes followed by seemingly crushing failures. Fear starts to set in. What if I never reach my goals? What if no one sees the opportunity that I see? What if no one understands? What if...<br></p><p>Rejection, unreturned phone calls, oh no one of <em>"those things</em>". It's so easy to slip back into the familiar, the comfortable. The job we don't particularly care for, the bills we can barely keep up with, the dream vacation we'll never take but hey that's life. I looked up fear in the dictionary and found a pretty long definition. However "fearless" is simply defined as <strong><em>free from fear.</em></strong></p><p>Being free from fear isn't about not having fear but rather not being held captive by it. Feel it, acknowledge it and free yourself by moving forward and do whatever it is you need to do. The funny thing about doing things you're afraid of is do them often enough and the fear diminishes until it's just a fleeting emotion. Is it easier said than done? ABSOLUTELY. What do you want independence from? Is it financial woes, a bad relationship, poor health?</p><p>Circumstances don't change by magic. Your circumstances don't change because you wish they would. Your circumstances don't change because of other people's opinions of how things should be. You are responsible for your circumstances. Do unexpected thing happen? Of course. Are some things out of your control? Sometimes yes. </p><p>What the really important part is how you react. What you learn. How you apply those lessons. Here's the truth <em><strong>there is selling involved. </strong></em>Any legitimate network marketing company makes money through retail sales. Retail sales are product purchases made by people who are NOT involved in the business, they are customers.&nbsp; If you&nbsp; don't want to do any selling don't join a network marketing company. </p><p>That being said...most people are not comfortable selling. You probably have a picture in your head of what a salesman looks and acts like. Salesman are pushy, they only care about the sale, they'll do anything to get the sale, they don't really care about me. I know there's salesman out there that are exactly like that but you really can't assume that all salesman are. If you have a product that's really helping you or people you know or even don't know, would you recommend that product?</p><p>If some one was looking for something that you happened to offer, wouldn't you offer it? If you could fulfill a need for some one wouldn't you want to fulfill it? That's where a great product or product line comes in (that includes service based businesses). If you're unsure about selling you better have a product you believe in 110%. Products don't sell themselves but their benefits can. You can give some one a sample, tell a story about what the product has done for you. Show them some testimonials, it doesn't have to high pressure stuff!</p><p>The bottom line is yes there is selling involved but the relationship is important, your desire to help is important, fulfilling a need is important.
