Happy Father's Day

Hi all! I just wanted to wish every dad a Happy Father's Day. Today's a day when we celebrate our dad's. It's nice to have a special day but remember you don't have to wait for a holiday to celebrate the loved ones around you. Make each day a celebration, be grateful everyday for the people around you that you love.

Curious about how it all started? Visit http://www.morning-glow.com/holidays/father/father.html There's also some lovely poems here too. Enjoy this day and every day. Live it like you mean it!

It's All About Perception

Did you ever sit down with a group of friends and talk about something that happened in the past? It may be something funny or serious it doesn't matter.  Even though you were all involved in whatever happened how many differences are there about what happened. Did you ever think you were the only one who was getting the story straight?

That's where perception comes in. Everyone sees things differently even when they're talking about the same thing. It could be a memory or a news story. We often color our memories with our personalities or where we were at the time. We often subconsciously bring in other experiences and attitudes. We also sometimes let those experiences come into our present. Sometimes that helps our present perspective but often times they serve as stumbling blocks.

When you think about your network marketing business and the perceptions that people have, you need to sometimes separate that from what you're doing right now. How you're working your business. What your perceptions are. We are all individuals with different viewpoints, memories and perceptions. Perception can be a tricky thing. Don't let other peoples perceptions color your thinking. Don't let them soften your resolve. It can be difficult because some of your worst critics are family and close friends.

"You know I had a friend that tried a network marketing opportunity and it never worked" Ever heard that? Remember perception and knowledge are two different things.

Oh, to be Twenty-One Again

j0422320.jpgNOT!! Yesterday was my birthday. A friend of mine asked me "how does it feel to be 21 again?" I said "once was enough!" (by the way I'm 45 now). Did you or anyone you know ever say they'd like to 21 again but knowing then what they now? Sounds good in theory but your youth is what  made you person you are today.

We've all done stupid things and things we regret but if you could change the past it would change your present. It's like pulling a thread on a sweater eventually it falls apart. We also all have great memories too. Good times, people we've met. Some of those people touched us and changed us in ways we may not even realize.

Everything we experience molds us into the people we are today and will become tomorrow. Think about the people around you today that you love and appreciate. Would they still be in your life if you changed the past. Everything that happens has a ripple affect, like when you throw a stone into the lake. Those ripples reach out further and further out. You never know when one action will start a chain reaction, not just for you but for the people around you.

Don't sit around and think about how you wish you could have done things differently. Live in the moment, plan for the future. Enjoy your birthday,. Don't think about the years gone by but the great things to come.
