Network Marketing, Life and Planning Goals

j0309664.jpg I wanted to spend a little more time talking about goals. It's the New Year and many of you are making resolutions. The problem is resolutions are just wishful thinking. How often have you or people you know made resolutions only to have them slowly fade away into the abyss and have nothing change. Where were you a year ago? Where do you want to be a year from now? It doesn't matter if they're about your network marketing business, your health or your relationships you need a plan of action. Right now a year seems like it's so far away but how fast did this past year go?

Now, down to the business of goals. Think about your one year goal. It should be realistic, something you know with work and commitment you can reach. If you reach your goal sooner well that just means it's time to set new goals. Break that one year goal into 90 day goals. Want to lose 40 lbs? Work on losing 10 lbs in the next 90 days. Want to have $1,000.00 in residual income? Work on building $250.00 of residual income in the next 90 days.  Whatever your goal is what do you need to do to reach your 90 day goals.

Let's look at your network marketing business. How many new distributors do you need. How many customers do you need? What do you need to do on a daily basis? How many people do you want to talk to? Remember make it realistic, it needs to be something under your control. You may not be able to talk to 10 people everyday but you can probably talk to 3, 4, or 5 people everyday. 

At the end of the week, look at how the week went. Was talking to 5 people something you found frustrating or hard? That's ok talk to 2 or 3. Talking to 2 people everyday is better than giving up and telling yourself it's too hard. Was talking to 5 people a breeze? Then talk to 6, 7, or 8. The important thing is to be consistent. At the end of every week see how you can improve your plan, tweek it, change it make it better.

Don't forget to enjoy your accomplishments, your little baby step victories. Whatever your goals don't try to do them by yourself. You need a support system to help you, to hold you accountable. Sometimes we all need a little push, a reminder of the commitment we made. Find a partner to work with hold each other accountable. Ask your coach and mentor for help and guidance. Remember things don't change by themselves or just because we want them to, it's up to you.  Whatever your goals I wish you happiness, good health and success.
