Every business opportunity comes with replicated web sites and some come with splash or lead capture pages. Some of these pages are good some are not. One of the problems is they can be impersonal. If you have a page you can customize make sure to take advantage. Let people know who you are. Don't ramble on about how great your bizop is but let people know about yourself and how your business has influenced your life. Tell your story. Everyone loves a good story.

You can create your own pages using Google Page Creator.  It's only one of the great free services you get with a google account. You don't need to be an expert on html coding. You can upload pictures and put forms on the page to capture information. If you're good at html you can also use raw code to build your website.

Before you put anything up make sure to check your policies and procedures. Some companies will not allow you to use anything other than company approved sources. Other companies require that the web sites be approved first. Never assume you're able to put stuff out there, even if it's a generic site. Building your own list is always better then buying someone else's list. Once you get your site up and running buy a domain name and forward it to your google page. Something that's easy to remember and that creates curiosity. The url google gives you is long and hard to remember.

When you're ready, get your website out there online and offline. Remember, start building the relationship with the people whose info you gather instead of trying to "sell" them. People join people not companies.
