Policies and Procedures

When you join a Network Marketing company, you of course want to succeed, whether it's a few extra hundred dollars a month or ten thousand dollars a month. You expect with some work and patience you'll reach your goals. The most important thing about evaluating a company is understanding the polices and procedures. You want to make sure you're in a company with management experience with integrity. The P and P's will help you determine this by seeing is the P and P's look out for the distributor or just the companies best interests.

There are a few things you need to look out for. "Ongoing" is a popular word. If you are required to have "ongoing sales", "ongoing training" of your downline, "ongoing sponsoring", what does that mean? What if you go on a months vacation? What if you need to take care of a loved for a few months? What if you get sick? What if you want to retire? Your company can terminate you. Think it won't happen? It happens all the time. People spend years building their organization only to find it GONE when they stop working. Some companies can require proof of ongoing training!

There's alot of companies that can terminate you for cause, at the sole discretion of the company. That means any reason they see fit. Does that sound fair to the distributors? Guess what? The company doesn't care. There's nothing you can do. You agreed to the terms and agreements which includes the Policies and Procedures. These are only a handful of the things you need to look out for. If the P and P's are 20, 30,40,50 pages long, what does that tell you?

Remember, when you look at the P and P's it doesn't matter what your interpretation is, only the companies interpretation. No matter what you do in network marketing or in life, reading the contract before you sign is always important. Understand if your building a lifetime of residual income or doing a lot of work which one day could be taken away from you.
